Scratch built rocket

A friend of mine lent me this rocket to clone. Before I do, I want to make sure it is an original and not a Design of the month. (DOM)
Anyone recognize this rocket?

It does look familiar, as if it was a kit from some defunct company. At first I thought Shrox, but I don't see any matches. But something about that half-ring tail and those distinct forward fins look soooo familiar....

No, it's a BT-100.

BT 9" long-.984 Outside Dia.
NC is 3.25" long

I spent the last two hours searching the internet and YORF plans and found this info.

I think it may be the love child of a Quest Super Cruiser and a Pemberton Technologies Gorgon

I started my clone of the Super Cruiser over the weekend. MM glued and both wings. I borrowed a NC from another Quest kit, the Aerospace One Fighter Escort.

Call it "The Big -D Ring (rocket)." :lol:
