42 lb weight just doesn't quite make 13'6".
    More groans and awwws...

Scenes Mrs. OD shot of me performing and failing to perform at the Loch Lomond/Santa Cruz Scottish Games yesterday. I placed second overall in the combined 55-59 and 60+ class. Some kid just three days past his 55th birthday won but I made him work for it. Only 4 points difference in the aggregate score.

    I really DO battle gravity.

Much of Clan Cunningham arrived in the America and settled in the Carolinas.

Our clan motto is "Over Fork Over" which is why I like tossing the sheaf.
    It pleases the ancestors.

What's the chance I'd run into another guy from the kilt forum on the rocket forum?

Seems we have some mutual acquaintances in California...

We can lick gravity, but sometimes the paperwork is overwhelming.

I'd say about 100 percent or so. LOL!

And you do like a bit like Sean Connery (Zed), too.

That is just too cool. I have been working on my family tree in an attempt to figure out if I'm from the Highland Livingstons or the Lowland Livingstons. But I keep getting stuck in Virginia in the late 1700s.

There is no way this out of shape and somewhat overweight guy is going to be able to do anything at any Scottish games other than spectate. Impressive work there Old Dude.

I'm impressed. I wouldn't even want to try that with my back problems.

A commercial photographer who specializes in the Highland Games snapped the following of me throwing the "light" hammer.

WOW.. how long have you been doing this? Before I moved to Oregon, we lived in Ben Lomond! (live oak ave, just off Glen Arbor) and my wife grew up in the same area and went to SLV. Been to the games quite a few times.
Have no fear, Chaos is here.

Nice photos! It's been a while since I've been to the Loch Lomond Games - but I'm generally busy between preparing for the band competitions, or the dancing competitions (for my daughter) or the drum major competitions (for my son) - but when I can I like to catch some of the heavy athletic events.

This our band, a few years back. I'm on the right in the Pipe Sergeant position. We've since changed our kilts to ancient Mackay.
