    Great sale on shock cord.

I just thought that I should pass this on...

1/2 in flat nylon webbing is only $.07 a foot! It's great for MPR and small HPR. Breaking strength of 1750 lbs!

Where are you getting the strength rating? I couldn't find it on the website.

I have stayed away from plain strap/webbing as it tends to have a lower strength rating versus tubular nylon. Also I was told its failure is more binary--immediately breaking versus weakening/stretching/degradation seen in tubular nylon (which allows you to inspect and change before catastrophic failure).

Alex, the 7 cents a foot that you pointed out is tape, not webbing. Half inch tape on their website is rated at only 600 lbs. They only have a minimal quantity of 1/2 webbing in their discount bin at a higher price (rated at the 1750 lbs you noted).

BTW, coupon code AR15 works and provides an additional 10% off your order.

Whoops, the tape and the webbing look a lot alike. The webbing IS only cheaper though.
Thanks for the heads up on the binary failures, I'll keep that in mind. I doubt that I'll ever come close to the 1750 lb breaking strength, Im only using this for 3-4lb rockets. That means that it would take about 400Gs to come close to failing.
Thanks for the tip on the coupon codes as well!

Yes, saw that, but not at nearly the discount. I went ahead and purchased some of the 1750 lb nylon webbing.

33 cents is still not bad and there is a discount.

My concern is the bendability/foldability of the webbing/tape. When I look at the pictures, I see stiff webbing like a USN uniform belt. Please let us know what it like when you get it.

I bought my TN at Country Brook Design.
    http://www.countrybrookdesign.com/we...-nylon-webbing

They don't sell by the foot so I ended up with 100 yards. Should last a while.
