I wish I did. I haven't heard anything from Todd in a while, and I noted today that the skyrippersystems.com web site is down. It'll be a sad day if true, they were fine products.

I thought the same thing about Contrail, but Doug Pratt was able to get directly in touch with them very quickly. See if Doug thinks they are dead... If so, then likely they really are dead.

I know Contrail is alive and good for the distance. They have other businesses to support the rocket motor stuff in hard times...and we haven't seen anything other than hard times for the past few years. I have been in survival mode for some time myself, watching things carefully day to day. The Contrail guys and I share one important belief: we think we can best serve our customer base by staying in business.

I have complete sympathy with anyone who finally decides that enough is enough. If this is what has happened with Todd I'll be sad, but as far as I'm concerned he will be completely blameless. He was very good to work with for a long time, and he sincerely did his best to provide high quality products...higher quality than most of the stuff was priced for, frankly. I know he was having problems sourcing parts. That's an advantage Contrail has: they own the machine shop.

I have not heard from Todd since late January, and that wasn't exactly a communication; he deposited a check I sent him (There's a line in an old Michael Franks song: "I hear from my ex, on the backs of my checks..." He hasn't responded to email inquiries and I have been hesitant to pester him, so I don't have a definitive yes/no. But today I tried his web site and found a page saying the web hosting account is suspended.

I think we have to assume the worst. A sad day. Todd, if you read this, you have my best regards, and I don't think anyone blames you. If you want to get rid of surplus parts that I could stock as spares, give me a call.

    Gerald,

as I am representing contrail now in Europe I can tell you that Tom and Thomas are alive and kicking like hell. At contrary they are preparing now new products and even on my behalf they think about new reloads (as we are all communists or ecologists in Europe we need red or green flames of course *lol*)...

At this point the reaction of contrail USA is immediate and deliveries within 3 days...OK the German customs needs 4 weeks to get awake when it arrives but this is another story...

Only pain point at this moment is the US contrail website that is as attractive as a grave stone, but as I launched my site (www.contrailrockets.eu) they decided to relaunch too. I think I will help them. Marketing & Communication is something I can better ;-)

After tremendous flights with contrail motors I can really say when you have tried it you do not come back to AP...and of course using Doug Pratt's GSE was a delight. This is not hidden advertisement but a fact. It simply works. What do you want more...

    Have a nice day.
