    Yet Another Scratch Scale AMRAAM Build Thread (23.4% BT60)

    Just finished up the scale lettering and placement from pics posted online from the National Museum of the Air Force display. Trying to go super scale on this build, complete with sequential serial numbers.

    Self-centering, .060" ABS lower fins with mitered mounts to conform to BT60 curvature. These will be shaft mounted in scale locations.

    The blast plate (scrap cover from computer hard drive) is epoxied to a 40mm table tennis ball then a brass 3/32" thru tube is inserted and bonded. Finally, thread Kevlar cord thru tube and connect to shock cord and shrink seal. Since the sphere only contacts the inside of the cylinder at 1 point at any given time, there is minimum or no drag unlike a common tube-piston ejector. The complete system is removable so just one is needed for all my BT60 birds.
