Ha...funny this thread resurfaced when it did....I finally made the leap and bought a 24/40 case and RMS kits for a D15-4T and E28-4T.

I was going to go larger, but I figured it would be cool to see a comparison of the Estes black powder D's to the Aerotech composite D's

To get the full effect, you should drag race two similar rockets - one with the AP one with BP - there is no comparison! They're awesome!

You'll find yourself flying fewer and fewer BP motors!

Have you flown it yet? I got an RMS case recently, too (hence the questions ) but haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. Whether permitting, I'll fly and E18-7W next weekend. I got a ack of those, and some F39's!
My question to you is, did you get the case because you wanted to fly rockets higher, or because you wanted to fly bigger rockets to the same altitude? Just curious. My motivation was option #2.

It seems they at least used to make 24mm and even 18mm cases. Here's a quote from their FAQ page:

Apparently Rouse tech did make 18mm, 24mm, and the 29/40-120 at one time. If you look at their web site it now appears that they have gotten out of the hobby motor business completely. They don't even list the 29/40-120 among their product line.

If you shop around you might still be able to find the odd RT motor in the smaller sizes. I know BRS has had the RT T18M 18/20 listed on their site. Discount rocketry shows the RT hobby motors on their site too. You might check with them for availability.

Edit: Nevermind checking with Discount Rocketry, I see now they show as out of stock. BRS shows 3 on hand of the T18M.
