    Nice projection.

Just past of before the "black drop effect". Before the second one, I think.

Nice! not bad for $5 of dowel and cardboard ehh? I had a serious overcast here all afternoon and past dark Tuesday,or I would have made my attempt with a free meade 90mm refractor and foam board. I still want to do a rear projection like that guy from Georgia did.

Have any of you guys done eyepiece projection? I also have a giveaway Meade 4" that I havent messed with.

I have no frickin idea of how I did that as I can't get the better ones to load. I think I foxed myself saving some to tif and maybe TRF won't do those. I am truely clueless at this stuff which is why I don't post pics. I think I have to call the youngest to get over here and help his poor bewildered screw up with this stuff. I did save all the originals (huge JPEG files) and I'm still struggling with this whole upload thing as it is. Dang i feel stupid! Never had this problem with a Polaroid......

I thought the thread had something to do with understanding what women say.

I used to tell Mom, "...I want to fly rockets when I grow up!"

She said, "Make up your mind, you can't do both!"

Well, my original intent was to show the first (this one) the middle and then the last along with the setups I had to work with. Unfortunately the internet is smarter than I am so....I'm struggling to say the least. The ironic thing is my son works for GRIFFITH OBSERVATORY!!!! ^$^#%#%^%&*!!

BTW, for eyepiece projection, do a google search on "Sun Funnel". Apparently there was an article in the June 2012 issue of Sky & Telescope on building one. It's very simple and I had the opportunity to see one in action yesterday at my astro club's community outreach event. Nothing more than a modified plastic funnel with some membrane stretched across the widest part of the funnel to act as a view screen.
