Wish you could have stayed! I wanted to see your disruptor go!
Me too.... but it turned out well for all of us to make it, we'll just have to do it again and hope the dang 'W' doesn't show up...... I guess I better start building.....

It was good to see you guys again, tho, so I'm glad I was there.

VERY NICE!! Roy on TRF? Anyway nice video production Mark! I heard Roy say something like "Something always breaks...". What did he use as a chute? Was it intact this time? What were the electronics... I could not make out what John W. was saying on the mic.

    An L off that row?

If you have the volume up you can hear most of what John says when he launches it. pretty good for a keychain cam from the 3rd row.

I am not exactly sure what chute he used. but I think he needs a bigger one. problem is it's single deploy.

I hav seen that rocket fly 3 or 4 times and Yeah he always breaks something, seems it lands a bit hard. nothing major usually the tail cone, and maybe a zipper or two

Think of doing my first 'large' rocket. I have some 6 inch glassed tubing in storage and bought a 6 inch nose cone from Jack for $35. I want to use DD but using a tether. Anyone have pictures of their tethered setup? I figure a hatch down near the top of the fin can for access.

I know, this is not the right forum... will repost on the scratch built or recovery forums. And ROC Chat

Despite the wind, still got over 20 flights in at RocStock and had a good time just hanging out with friends and meeting new ones from here as well. As said in previous posts, camped with Mark Hays and his family, Tim (kelltym88), and Roy with his family. Got to say hi to Dave (Fyrwrxz), Kenny (KenRico), Jeff (gdjsky01), and edwinshap1 from the forum here. Nice to put some faces to the names even though I am terrible remembering names.

All in all, it was a great time! Attached are a few photos.....
