    Best Paints for model Rockets

Hello Everyone. I am new in this forums but I have plenty of questions. First of all, I will be start building the Estes Saturn V soon and I need some help choosing the spray paints. I will be using gloss paint so I want a good white (without a yellowish finish), black, silver or gunmetal, and maybe some good dullcoat. I don't want to use multiple brands on one model because I previously read that they can damage the paints.

OK, I want you to recommend me a specific good paint brand.

I have heard good reviews about the Rust- Oleum Painters Touch 2X and not too good about the Krylon Indoor/Outdoor Spray Paints, but I don't know too much.

    Please, help me!!!
    Thanks to all!

I post it because I think I posted one of these two in the wrong place. My thread was off topic. Sorry.

    How can I delete it?

    Thanks for your help.

I think you can hit "delete thread" but I'm not sure... now that it's been replied to, you can always ask a mod to delete it... just click the "triangle exclamation point emblem" in the lower left-hand corner of a post box... in the light gray bar... and when the message box pops up, type a lil note to the mods telling them what happened and asking them to delete the thread... Not sure exactly how to do it yourself... maybe try "Edit" and "go advanced" and see if there is a "delete this thread" button or try "delete post"...

Best paint? Honestly for me it's the cheapest store brands. Like .98 Walmart paint. Or whatever acrylic enamel I find at the landfill recycle building. I find no point in spending $12 for paint on something who's ultimate doom is to smash into the earth.
It's more about how you put the paint on. I use a fog coat first, just barely covering the surface let it dry for a bit then spray a coat on. Wet sand with 400-600 between coats. If you are using a clear topcoat you still wet sand, just don't sand the final coat, of course.

This will give you the smoothest finish. I was an industrial steel painter for years. I learned fancy was no better than anything else.

edit: this is of course for solid color paints. Metallic paints your on your own
