If you are an ARCAS fan as I am, you'll want one of these. :)

I have collected several of these kits over the years and I'm willing to part with 2 kits, both NIB. I'll also include an awesome set of vinyl decals from Mark w/StickerShock ($48.75) in Red, made to the exact specs of the tube.

I did a build thread years ago (first link below), so please refer to it for pictures. A quick search of the Archives might also find other posts.

(I took the following description from Styme's ad of a few months ago as it is more accurate than I could pen.)

Doug Stout 4.08" ARCAS (1 of 25)
If your not a fiberglass hound .. this kit is for you !
Untouched and In original Packaging ,The shipping Box has been opened to Peep inside.Contents are still in tact as originally packed, wrapped, and sealed.
and It's Packed Like a Tank ! ready to ship.
As far as I know, only 25(if that)were ever produced and sold out very quickly.
Anyone with a first HPR rocket under their belt will have no trouble assembling this kit
I know they have flown on atleast a K250 without any fiberglass re-enforcemet.
It can fly on a minimum Full I Load with light construction ,perfect for a J (and up depending on construction technique)
From RP Review:
"Stout drew up plans for this Level 2 capable bird directly from the drawings and photos from Atlantic Research Corporation, the ARCAS' builder, with full permission from the company. You will not find a kraft cardboard kit on the market today as well manufactured as this one. This kit is built like high power kits used to be built"
all wood parts are solid!(not Laminated) and cnc machined.
I prefer rail buttons , however the kit does include 2 different size sets of metal conformal launch lugs
Fins are cnc machined from 12 ply birch , beveled and TTW
Rings/bulkheads are cnc machined from 10 ply birch

Just following up - I cracked the box open the other day and I was amazed at the packing job that went into these kits! I have to clear off the bench but I think that this one is next on the list!

Thanks for selling some of your stock!

Kevin,
I inherited a Doug Stout ARCAS kit from a member of our NAR/Tripoli club (THOR) and noticed you have a build thread for the ARCAS. I unfortunately cannot access the thread as the archive site is no longer available. I would be very grateful if you have a copy of this that I could access and follow? There were no directions with my kit and I was hoping to build this for my level 2 attempt. Thank you for any assistance you can give me.

That was so long ago that unfortunately I don't have any of the text or pictures anymore. If you consider it like a larger mid power rock it and build it as such you'll do just fine.

You got a great deal. Remember, there are very few of these babies still on the build piles.
