Mach 10 Clone Kit
Thanks for looking.

Off topic maybe but I received my Nike Smoke kit kit the other day. What a great looking kit! Can't wait to build it. Thanks for a great product at a great price!
Jeff
I've built several clones, but never in kit form. Looking forward to seeing how they compare.
Gotta have it.

I used to tell Mom, "...I want to fly rockets when I grow up!"
She said, "Make up your mind, you can't do both!"
Seems as if this was a popular one, with them being sold out now. You planning on doing another run?

Mine is in my hot little hands as we speak. (So to speak.)![]()
Mine arrived today.
Thank you
Dan
I always shoot for the moon. I haven't hit it yet but I am due. I'll use a bigger rocket next time.
Well, I couldn't resist and I actually started (and almost finished) this kit last night rather than letting it age like a fine wine in my build pile...
Excellent quality as always. Parts fit perfectly, everything is well packaged and the instructions are clear and well produced.
Only one suggestion for the next time you put some of these together...some kind of alignment guide is needed on this one. A simple wrap around guide to mark the two reference lines 180 degrees apart would be helpful; the instructions have everything to be lined up by sight but I still needed to get some lines on the body tube to get a proper alignment.
It is also a bit challenging to get the motor tube properly aligned. I think I got it but I'm wondering if there isn't some kind of little trick to make that easier.
Anyway, again, what a great reproduction of a wonderful kit from my youth! I should be finishing up the construction tonight and then working on the finish. One of my teenage son's friends sat with me while I was working on this and he was really enjoying watching this go together, asking about a lot of my other models and (I think) hearing some of my rocket stories.
Got mine today as well. Most excellent!!!
Got mine today, too, along with an A-20 Demon. As others have mentioned, the kits are very well packaged and they appear to have high quality parts.

I also got my box from Inflight yesterday with the Mach 10 and several other (the exact number shall remain a secret...) kits.
I will also join the list of folks who are impressed overall with the quality of the kits from Inflight. Great components, and high quality decals. I think these may also be the only kits I have ever bought, from any vendor, where I did not feel the need to "add" a longer piece of kevlar/elastic to the shock cord system. Keep up the great work![]()

Buckaroo, the White House wants to know is everything ok with the alien space craft from Planet 10 or should we just go ahead and destroy Russia?
Tell him yes on one and no on two
Wait... which one was yes... go ahead and destroy Russia... or number two?
The other day I was starting to measure out the areas for the red trim on this (I am doing the silver version) and noticed that the cockpit canopy seemed to be very close to the front. I measured and I was definitely right at the 1/4" in the instructions but when I was looking at an old Centuri catalogue last night the picture of the original shows the canopy being much further aft. So, I looked at the Centuri instructions on JimZ's site and they agreed with Inflight's 1/4". A little further research on Ye Olde Rocket Plans shows an earlier version with the canopy positioned at 1" from the nose; this agrees with the catalogue picture.
I also noticed some other changes that Centuri had made to the kit. The reinforcement ring in the front in the earlier version was just a mylar ring rather than a stage coupler and the nose cone appears to just barely poke out of the front of the model. My hunch was that the change with the nose cone was to move the CG forward a bit for vertical flight and the additional reinforcement was probably a good idea too. I wonder why they moved the canopy....any ideas?
If anyone was waiting for one of these I got a few more listed.
.
I'd love to get one of these kits. Let us know when they are back in stock.
