I realized too late that this was the place to post my questions... Sorry for the double post.
I do have questions I’d like to ask among all you guys and gals on the forum…
I am building my SA-14 Archer to Cert LVL 1 this Summer. I have set the FWD centering ring far enough back to allow me to slip a shock cord protector down over the nylon shock strap. The shock cord protector I have slides all the way down to the FWD centering ring and I made room to epoxy it in place, to seal and protect the bottom half of the recovery harness.
The orange Nomex could be sealed down to the side of the motor mount at the FWD end over the shock cord, to keep it covered and protected. I don’t know if that is a bad idea or not. Is it better to leave it slide up and down or secure it to the FWD ring to keep the nylon strap of the recovery harness fully covered at all times. Will the Nomex last for a long time (several years of use). Will the epoxy damage the Nomex? Will it make future replacement impossible?
Thank You
I look forward to your feedback.
