I'll be there for sure. Good chance to fly some old Estes kits that have been hanging out on the shelf for a while. I'll save the big stuff for Maine the following week.

Not sure? Will there be cake?
I'll be there with lots of new stuff to fly.
Jack and I probably won't make it. Tomorrow is the fundraising picnic for the kids' school, and we have to make an appearance, or at least our "funds" do. If we can sneak out, we'll make a beeline for Sudbury with all the LPR stuff that's flyable.

So I went to CMASS Sudbury and you could not ask for a better day for launching rockets! I launched at least a dozen rockets and lost but one to the tree gods. I rocket was not mine, I borrowed it from the club rocket box. It was an Estes Alpha. It might come down by the time we launch there again in three weeks.
Here is the Alpha I lost when I had a drag race with tonypv.
My best flight of the day was with the now renamed GreyGoose. I modified a Greyhawk and name it in honor of "Goose" of Top Gun.
You can see it coming down in a flat spin, landing in the middle of the flight line with everyone yelling "Eject Goose, Eject!"

It was a great day of flying! I will get some pix and vid posted soon. I'm in class today and have a rocket class right after school, so...
Perfect weather though!
Havn't the time to get the album up as we get ready for NSL, but here are some pix.
It really was a great day. I only had 4 flights, but 3 of them were to test things and then there's the Decaffeinator with glider...
Two of the tests involved protos. A modified version of the Tesla to correct a slight stability issue (all fixed) and the other was just additional flights on the K'TNG'A model. Both of which I hope to have out some time this year in addition to the Celtic Thunder.
The other test was to verify that the older MMX-I motors work with the new Q2 Un-Dipped igniters (they do)
So here are the pix!
- Claude's foam cup rocket on an F motor. It later flew on a cluster of 5 D motors! kewl!
- Tony's displays his wonderful collection. Man, Tony does some great work!
- The K'TNG'A takes to the air on a B motors. Perfect flights
- Up goes the Tesla on a C6-3 (later on a B6-2) with perfect results! Next will be a D10
- The classic Decaffeinator was perfect till the glider got stuck in a tree! LOL
I had forgotten about the photo album from this launch! Some good stuff and I got the album up last night. You can find it right here!
