ID:	83720They are finally done, the prototype is here and being built as we speak.
    We have made some changes.
The new Gizmo Xl comes with a 98 Motor mount standard.
It has a 25 inch long payload section and a 12" long coupler.
We have a new revolutionay design for the av-bay that allow you to fit a 4 grain 98 mm motor in it but still use the standard dual deploy set up in the coupler. This give you plenty of room for your recovery devices and shock cord.

We are Now taking preorders for this Limited Run Kit at the special price of only $399.99
Anyone who has one of the standard Gizmo Zl's on order can upgrade to the dual deploy for the differance in price.
We will start shipping these next week.

    Thank you

Nice, is 75 mm option availlable or being considered?

Is possible to get a Rocksim?

75mm is available, you would just need to use an adapter.

Gee Jon..........you really ARE a rocket scientist Lol!!!!!

The new "doughnut" av-bay is really cool. I start building one tomorrow.

It has a 12in 98mm motor tube going through the middle of the av-bay! Let's the motor go right up through the middle, but yet preps as standard DD.

Top end of bay has a BP.... bottom end a CR...with tube in the middle.

It sounds awesome, but all that extra length sorta takes the "giz-mocity out of it- for me anyway.

I believe the new design looks something like this or this.

    ....want....

Too bad I just sold my 1 and 2 grain 98mm cases. This would have been perfect for those. Although, I do still have my 3 and 4 grain 98mm cases. This would be even better for those!

Here's a drawing.... don't use any weight #'s this was a very quickie. Just to show how the MM ends and the motor extends up through the Av-Bay...into a second 12in.MMtube [ same length as the coupler/bay]. Centered in an internal CR. The av-bay looks like a big doughnut with a hole in the middle when viewing from the bottom end. From the top end it's a solid/normal set up. Get it?

Not a continuous MM tube that goes all the way up. So prepping to fly DD is just like a normal av-bay/ rocket!

The rocksim I drew has a 4grain 98 motor in it. I'm wondering if ya used the motor as a coupler, ya could put the whole av-bay higher in the payload, move the nosecone bp way up the shoulder for the chute and get a 5 or 6 grain in there.

You are limited by the top of bay, it has a solid BP, the motor tube goes through the rear...Hmmmm. but that will NOT be recommended nor encouraged. It falls under how to cheat or highly modify to win.LOL

Hoping to find a build thread on this. Picked one up yesterday at NERRF. Might have to name the project alimony

I have a similar problem. I bought the kit and will wait to see one built before I start. If I buy another kit, I might be paying alimony or have a permanent address in the doghouse.

Took all the parts out today, two centering rings for the body tube motor mount which I assume will seal off at the top and bottom of the fins for some good internal fillets. Two centering rings for the " donut " eBay. I wondering if one goes near the bottom and one is used for a stepped bulk plate at the top of the eBay. I should have looked into more of the built model at the field yesterday.

That is my "built model" you saw at the field. I am working on the instructions as we speak. Feel free to ask any questions about the build process, I will help you if I can. I might do a quick build thread after the formal instructions are done.

Would love to see a 'real life' picture of this rocket...anyone? Perhaps even just the kit in pieces? Thinking this might be a very nice L3 rocket...adaptable to short and large fields. Anyone have a Rocksim file?

I am waiting to see this as well.I just want to get some ideas for the design of the E-Bay. I give the parts another bath and hopefully we will see some suggested instructions soon.

I have the Gizmo with the 75MM mount in pre-production. Are parts available to make it an XL? That would perhaps reduce the size of the boxes that have to be explained to my wife.

Hey Guys, I am in the process of making the full directions for this kit. I have been working about 70 hours a week for the past few weeks and have fallen a bit behind. Here are a few pics of the completed av bay.

Be patient, the directions will be up soon. PM me with any questions about the pics.

Pic one shows the av bay "lid"
Pic two shows the underside of the same piece
Pic three shows the "aft" end of the av bay (hole for motor to slide up into)
Pic four shows the av bay in place on the booster with a motor up inside the bay. (cap left off to show motor- P.S. thats a 75/6000 motor)
