It occurs to me that discussions about aerodynamics always seem to be discussed on the LPR, MPR, and HPR forums. I think it would be beneficial to have an aerodynamics forum, as it would be nice for those discussions to occur in the same place, in order for them to be more widely seen. I think this would also make it easier to search for old discussions on the topic. Any thoughts?

I ,for one, support this idea. There is a lot of information that keeps getting repeated by the more experienced folk, usually in response to a question posted by a newcomer. Nothing wrong at all with those that are starting out,as they are the lifeblood that helps grow our sport. I am (was) a manufacturing engineer by trade and training, not an aerodynamicist, so I too have occasional questions that could be answered in a forum such as this. There is a ton of experience out there this could capture, whether for things with wings or things with fins! Mach my words, this could be interesting!

We ALL have to deal with aero problems as they arise.. I do know that driving a race car, aero is important. and they only have to move air at 200 mph...
Put your hand out the window at 50 mph.. Then put your hand out the window at 100, Now put your hand out the window at 200mph.. Yeah..Aero is VERY important..

I can see the merit in it. If nothing else it would be another learning tool. As for rockets--you might see some folks stepping out of the box a bit more with designs. Of intrest would be mach+ design and I can imagine the boost glider bunch would benifit a ton. ------sup with my forward and back keys----slow
