I'll be there. But then, you knew that already.

The team I'm mentoring (NMSU) is starting their 22 hr drive tomorrow. I'm flying in on Thursday.
I hope conditions are better this weekend in Huntsville than there were last weekend in Wichita for the AIAA College Design/Build/Fly RC plane competition. Winds to 40mph Saturday, then a tornado touched down at the site (Cessna Aircraft Field), cancelling the rest of the competition. My son and I were in the hotel a mile from the tornado when it came through 10:30pm Sat.

I really wish I was going. I attended in 2011 as the safety advisor/mentor for the University of Illinois team. It was a great experience, from beginning to end, and I felt privileged to be there.
Our team is not participating this year. I had contemplated contacting folks to see whether I could volunteer during the event, but life got in the way. Kevin, in hindsight, might that have been a possibility?
I'll look forward to the reports, video, photos, etc.
Have a great time, guys!

Thanks for the info Kevin.
I have a couple buds who are there as mentors.
Dan W. for St. Louis University and Gus P. for Purdue.
First trip for both.
I did warn them about the RSO check.
Hope the weather is good for flying on Sat.
