Just a basic 2 part mold,
had access to a lathe so i just made a solid aluminum plug and made the mold using that.. the rest is pretty much trial and error to see what works and what doesn't. I believe tfish started a thread some time ago on how to make them

OMG!!!! How beautiful! To a rocketeer- that's the equivalent of a Playboy Centerfold. Miss June, July AND August, specifically. Just absolutely sterling! Well done! Now I really want one too! Why? 'cuz it's that sexy!!!

There comes a point in your life that looks just like all the other points you didn't notice either.
If I had a nickel for every dollar I spent on rockets, I'd have more rockets.

Mission parameter: Hunt down Matrix. Primary objective: retrieve nosecone. Reason: Public Art belongs on exhibit. Not in safe at home.

My rockets usually fly naked. If they survive, they earn their paint.

as of the moment I'm working on making another plug/mold... however eventually - yes. but in 4HS or 2x2 twill cause i have no more 1K plain stuff and its 70 bucks a yard so i don't see myself ordering it in near future. There will also be a few cones with aluminum tips in Von Karman that i'll be putting up in a week or so
    Thanks Julius
