    Fliskits-dooDad n TRIFECTA

The weather has gone back to normal for this time of year.
Cold,Damp,Rain, ect all week .Typicial New England spring weather.
So, Im going to do some building and get some more kits built.
Today Im working on the Fliskits Trifecta and dooDad.
(Maybe a Semroc-Thunder Bee,but that doesnt belong in this thread)
    Anywhoo-got the pieces-parts FnFed.
I plan on painting each dooDad fin a different color.(Colors=?)
    Ill paint them before assembly.
The TRIFECTA, Ummmmmm...I may go with the Red,White and Blue like on the Cover Card.
    That looks pretty cool.

    Scotty,

Are you going to post your wire mesh letter holder/sorter in the new jig gallery?

    Moving along.
I got the BT and Fins sanded and primed for the dooDad.
Let them dry and a quick light sanding and its pigment time.
    Im going with......
    1 Gold Fin
    1 Copper Fin
    1 Silver Fin
BT=Satin Black w/(maybe) Gold,Silver,Copper stripes or Rings near top.
I have 1/8 strips of tape on the BT where the fins will attach to the BT.Ill pull them off after painting.
I did this so Ill have a good bare spot for bonding.
After I sand the primed fins,Ill put strips of tape on them also where they connect to each other and where they attach to BT before I paint them.
I do believe Ill use Gap Filling CA to glue it all together.
Anywhoo- heres another picture ..I know ya all like pictures
OH-Ya, No engine hook. Ill put a ring of Chrome tape at bottom of BT and go with friction fit.

I put the pigment to the pieces-parts.
NC still needs to be sanded, primed and pigmented.

    Getting the look. (not glued)
    I like it.
Im thinking (now) of getting some 1/8 copper and gold pin-stripe tape(I have chrome) and use that to put 3 rings 1/8" or 1/4" apart around top of BT.
    Hard telling not knowing...

I can relate. I think a few Goodwill trips and a yard sale, and I'll some room in the garage again.
