    ESTES new engine retainers question??

I was reading a thread on these retainers and I think someone mentioned that the end cap wouldn't fit over the motor and lock it down and that you had to remove some material to get it to fit

Is there any truth to this?

I would like to try these retainers out, but I don't feel like busting out the Dremel to get them to fit.

    Has anyone tried them yet??

Come on. Do you think Estes is going to bring out a new product for a new motor line that doesn't work? Don't think so....

You mis-read the thread as it went off topic and people were discussing modifications they made to their D-Rerion Tomahawk and Blue Ninja 24mm motor retaining quarter-turn caps.

Estes pro-series retainers are designed for Aerotech motors BECAUSE Estes motors are made for them by Aerotech. They are very different from the 24mm plastic motor caps. The 29mm caps are threaded.
