4" Killer Custard opps I mean cluster

I'm thinking about doing an 8 engine 24mm cluster in a 4" airframe just for fun. I have the ROCKSIM file attached. Rather than having the motors in the center it placed them in a circle around the outside within the airframe. Are there any advantages to this formation? I know it leaves plenty of material to attach a nice eye screw. Just wondering what my other options are?

Keep in mind I am not through with the design...just threw it together. I will polish it up later. My concern is the strength of the rings if there is enough material.

I was also thinking of using custard for the recovery wadding?

Long as you realize you'll have to fly it ONLY at HPR launches. 5 24mm D12's is very close to the max 125g of propellant...6 is way over.
