I ran across this carbon fiber material called Pyron (which is new to me, but may not be to others) that might find uses in some extreme-speed HPR projects. It seems that this stuff has lower thermal conductivity than typical layup materials.

Anyone know anything about Pyron?

Kind of reminds me of the aerogels I studied in college. I suppose you could use pyron for the MMT, but it's probably super-pricey due to low production volume.
