    Super Alpha

Finished the Super Alpha last night. Easy/fun build. Decided to paint it stock but upgraded the MM to D/E engine. Looking forward to maiden flight tomorrrow at SARG launch.

    VERY cool! Bring binoculars!
All persons, living or dead, are purely coincidental-Vonnegut
    97% of the time, I'm right-the other 5% doesn't bother me.
There comes a point in your life that looks just like all the other points you didn't notice either.
If I had a nickel for every dollar I spent on rockets, I'd have more rockets.
You may have had more fun in your life than me, but the chaos was undeniable.

Indeed. Mine has the stock mount but I've flown it on Aerotech SU D10s and D21s. AltimterOne says about 1100 feet.

Might want to bring a small Telescope with a 30mm FL eyepiece.
Plays with wood, cardboard, and carpenters glue at home.

L1 will have to wait until 2013. Oh well.......patience is a lost virtue any-ways...

Flew this last Saturday at the SARG launch. Conditions less than optimal (overcast, cold and breezy) but still a good day.

First launch was with a C11 and even with the slight breeze it flew perfectly staight up with a good deploy. My son then had to walk a bit as the wind carried it a ways.

Second launch was with the D12-5 ... almost out of sight and not as straight but if I recall correctly the wind may have caused this. Landed probably 3/4 mile away ... sorry Brendyn (my 12 year old) for the long walk.

Did not get around to putting in the E9 motor ... next time ... Muuwahahahaha
