Estes TARC parts assortments working OK?

    Hi Folks:
Any feedback on TARC teams using the http://www.estesrockets.com/2280-tar...rts-assortment and http://www.estesrockets.com/rockets/...rts-assortment parts kits? Just wondering how happy the students turned out to be with the assortments once they started actually designing/building. Thanks in advance!
    Best wishes,
    Will

The large assortment has been fine for two of the teams I'm working with. I think the small assortment is missing the CR50-56 rings.

    EXCELLENT.

I've seen many TARC models built from both large and small sets. Astounding flights using E15, E20 (same as E15...) and E30 motors.

Models built from heavier "High power Rocket" parts will not meet the altitude target and still meet the duration target. And they will weigh too much for CA launching. With the Estes parts, the TARC teams can build a lightweight, low drag aerospace vehicle that reaches the altitude, has room for payload (with padding) and is light enough to land within the taget time window without breaking the eggs.
