OK, that's what I'm going to do to my ALARM nose. The JB Weld just wasn't working all that well for me.

And I need to track down some finishing epoxy. My 30 min is almost gone, too.

I love the 20 min. finishing epoxy for these type of builds. The Gorilla Glue is also great ,really stickes well to most plastics.

Alright alright.....good thing it`s a holiday where I live.To tell the truth, I have not done much building of rockets as of late ,busy with work and my new launch/rail tower that I`m making from scratch, to handle mine and the clubs bigger rockets.

I`ll throw in a picture of that too.

Back in post #10 you showed your cone/hat and how you positioned it on the front of the kit's NC.

Do you have any tips for how you centered the tip of the cone? (I have my own technique but I am curious what your is)
In dog beers, I've only had one....

I have all the body bands on as well as the various hatches. It`s easier to get these in place now ,before the fins go on ,and get them soaked in CA and sanded smooth.

The nosecone is finished completely. The last step was to coat all the bondo filler with superthin CA and sanded with 400 grit. You can see the Gorilla glue in the nosecone extension ,all foamed up and plenty solid.

The conduits were sealed after the details were drilled and sanded ,and epoxied onto the bodytube.I used Tamiya tape to hold them in place and clamped down ,as they are quite long. The conduit extensions that go onto the tail cone will be glued on last.

Here the my fin holding jigs I made using foam blocks and bamboo skewers. They hold the large fins in position while the glue sets ,just moving them in or out until the fins are perpendicular to the BT and then waiting until the epoxy sets up.
