It's MDRA they'll be there weather or not....
I was going to go but the weather looks worse by the hour.
I hate 45mph speed restrictions all the way on the turnpike.

Anybody coming to the launch on Saturday from the north that passes by Ed Romani's house in Holland, PA? PM me if you'd be willing to pick something up.

    Thanks,

It going to make it. Too much gas to travel there and risk a snow shower or high winds!

We're still planning on attending. That is, unless we hear otherwise.

If a launch is scrubbed, how and when is that info. passed along to members? Website, this forum?

    Thanks,
    Mike

accuweather has winds at 15 gusts to around 30, and weather.com has winds at 15mph. I'ma pass on this one. Bummer.

The weather forecast was pretty much spot on this past weekend. However, on Saturday that didn't stop about 4 guys from going for their L1's. I counted at least two that were successful.

On Saturday, there was also a college group (MIT?) there doing fin-flutter tests. They had a six fin ~5.5" diameter, ~7ft long rocket they were using to characterize fin dynamics. They had a single L flight to about 5k feet. I'd be curious to hear what they've learned so far.

We left around noon on Sunday. Up until that point, the winds were just too strong to launch in.
