    Onboard Rocket Videos and Beethoven

I compiled most of my onboard videos taken last year and set them to music. Beethoven's 9th Symphony, 2nd Movement. If you have 11 minutes, take a gander and let me know what you think.

I think someone needs to clean their motor home, and those short-burn motors that you like are pretty crazy!

Yes, those were all my vids. Funny you should mention the dirty motor home roof. That's what we told the owner.

The H87, H54, and G54 are all relatively long burn (2-3 sec.). Our club tends to use shorter burn motors overall because we have a 9,000 ft. waiver.

I went through the Youtube analysis features and noticed there was little patience to see this video all the way through so I re-edited it, took out a lot of the landing footage and set it to David Bowie's "Starman."

Let me know if it is an improvement.

What type of camera are you using and how did you mount it?

I am using keychain cameras that I am finding on e-bay and taping them to the side of the rocket for the downward views. For the horizon views I have a "mini DV camcorder." Both of these are pretty cheap. They capture video at 30 FPS and the image is 640 x 480. There are now some cameras that are 1280 x 960 which give a clearer image. Be careful though that you ensure it is 1280 x 960 video...not photo. Some of the sellers ae intentionally vague.

Pretty gutsy to do it among all those buildings. Looks like you were at a high school. You should try to do a "closest to the middle of the football field." Or try to launch one through a goalpost.
