I misplace my Level 1 amraam in a cornfield almost 3 years ago. I figure if I ever get it back it will be like getting a new rocket all over again.

Welcome to the forum. I am glad to see someone who is interested in the same things as their child.

Do you have any idea what a cornhead can do to a rocket?? Or a field disk?? Let alone disk planters or grain drills....

I think you can safely write that one off...

    RIP AMRAAM....

Later and sorry for yer loss...

NO NO NO! Kevin said it was just misplaced.

How could you be so mean? you have crushed my hopes.

I believe that the cornpicker missed it. as did the disk. as did the planter.

@gdjsky01 - WOW thats a beauty of a scope. I have a vintage Unitron but its only a baby 114. Its still very Jules Verne in looks though

Ahem - au contraire - he's interested in the same things as me Only kidding. My youngest is a bit of a brain really. Laps up science and I give him the best opportunities to go for it. My edlest is more of a hand on mechanmic whereas my youngest is more of a theorotician. They are kind of like two parts of me expanded a bit cos I am an indiffefernt engineer and interested (but hopless at) theory.

I had to laugh a little at the thought of being afraid to ask a question.

Rocket people are awesome when it comes to questions. Sometimes at a launch I think about loudly proclaiming "I have a question" for fun, just to see everyone rush in my direction.

Suck it up and deal with it -- I just said that, because Carmen was sick and tired of you whining and crying!

SO HARSH!! I think I have mental scarring now.

It's not my fault she builds better rockets than me.

It's a proven fact that if you ask 100 rocketeer's a question you will get 200 opinions. I don't worry when they argue with each other, its when they argue with themselves that gives me the willies.

I'm usually left holding the bag. If I got a Right bag, maybe it would be better.
Why is it a launch lug? They are usually too small to carry your rocket to the pad with.
Why do I need an altimeter that talks back to me? I can get that at home.
