    Yard Sale / Wanted Request?

How hard would it be to: lock threads and move them away from active topics that have been sold or found?

can't say for this version of vbulletin...I know that rcgroups allows the thread starter to lock a thread(which can lead to some problems with people doing so accidently)

It becomes a maintenance issue, as much as anything. Plus, sometimes seeing history of a buyer/seller can be useful.

Rcgroups also has iTrader. You can rate the sellers and buyers like on eBay. I pitched the idea a while back, got. No response

    29mm

So you don't need a 29mm forward closure? I have a 29mm forward closure that I am selling. I think it was made by Dr. Rockets. It is used.

I can't speak for this forum, but in other forums I've participated in, the OP can click on the "report thread" button and say it's sold, then a mod will close/lock it.

I've added a new thread prefix to the Yard Sale section. Alongside [For Sale] and [Wanted], there's now a [SOLD!] prefix. When the items in a thread have all been found/sold, the thread starter can edit their post and change the prefix to [SOLD!] so it'll pretty obvious from the forum view which items have been sold and which haven't. This still leaves the thread open for people to post updates or feedback, too.

    Cheers,
    Phil

Sounds like a good idea, but I just went back to edit a current listing that was sold and I editing the prefix was not offered even in "advanced edit" mode.
