As I am starting to build heavier stuff, I am paying more attention to the load rating of recovery components such as swivels, shock cord, etc. Looking at a few sources, it appears that the rule used by many is to base the load requirement roughly as 20 times the weight of the rocket. For example the recovery components of a 2lb rocket should be rated at 40lbs, 10lb rocket should be rated at 200lbs, etc. Is this a good rule of thumb?
