The BLASTCAP - THE ULTIMATE HIGH POWER CHARGE CANISTER

    Hi All:

I'd just like to take a second and thank! everyone who have bought and used my Blastcaps, It's coming up on the Blastcaps 2 year anniversary and all you rocketeers have been great!

I'd really like to hear from you guys though, Good bad or indifferent, it's all useful information for product development, How was my customer service, How have they held up in the field etc etc.

    Thanks Again.
    Gary T.

    What is the BLASTCAP?

The BLASTCAP is a precision machined charge canister made of 6061-T6 aluminum designed to be used in high power rocketry. Each order contains two BLASTCAP wells, 2 SS machine screws, nuts and washers.

The canister is made to be mounted on either end of your avionics bay. Simply drill a hole in your bulk plate and attach.

Never replace another PVC charge canister again..........

    • Easy clean up
    • Indestructible
    • SS attachment screw
    • 3 Sizes to choose from

    Gary,

I haven't had the opportunity to use dual-stage deployment yet (very soon though) but I have been researching the various types of set-ups, and your Blast-Cap ejection charge containers sure look like winners in my eye. You'll be getting an order from me soon.

I've been using BLASTCAPs on all my new builds, and retrofitting all my existing rockets. This is a total quality product that not only functions perfectly but also really enhances the beauty of your av-bay. They make for a neat installation that is simplicity itself to clean up after the flight. I'd been using PML charge canisters before the BLASTCAPs, and while they're a good product, I like the simplicity, durability and appearance of BLASTCAPs much better.

I used to make my caps and canisters from PVC, epoxy, hot glue and duct tape, a time-consuming process that looked bad, too. I was fortunate to have set up my base camp next to Chris (cjl) at LDRS XXX. I noticed he used Blastcaps on his 7.5" G-10 upscale Ultra Kraken. I thought they looked good, so I tried a set, putting them on Pandora, my 6" re-finned Ultimate Wildman, which flew in the N5800 drag race at MWP9. (attached photo is post-flight!) Not only did they look good, they worked good. Very easy to install, prep for flight, and clean afterwards. I just dunk the whole bulkhead into a tub of soapy water and scrub the BP residue off with a toothbrush... literally only took about a minute. Great product, Gary, and Happy Anniversary!

    Thanks

I missed you at RG, but I won a set of Blast Caps in the raffle. It's my third set and I am very happy.

Looks good and more importantly works as designed.

Ray we were talking at RG but I didn't know it was you either lol I was the one who said Ray Wrong.

Chuck, You can clean them with most anything, I spray them with white vinegar give it quick brush with an old tooth brush then follow up with a spray of WD-40 and a wipe down.

May sound like allot but I'm a fanatic that way, Hell I even spray my quick links and wipe them down with WD-40 after Every! flight lol.

    Guys:
Thanks so much and glad you all like the Blastcaps, Pretty sure I have them being used in every state in the US now, I love to walk the flight line and see someone prepping an Av-Bay with Blastcaps on it, Always great to put a face with the name.

    Thanks again
