Estes - No. 2 Estes Skywriter®
Hello, i bought the E2X Estes - No. 2 Estes Skywriter® for my daughter, easy to assemble but not as the Metalizer or Taser, we used Hobby knife, Carpenter's Glue and ruler. She is very excited with her new rocket, because is a giant pencil, the first launch is scheduled for this weekend.

Watch out for bodies of water.... My daughter built one 2 years ago when she was 8, first launch it splashed down in the pond. We have replaced it and built others since, but she was very upset at the time.

I think next up should be a pink Big Bertha with the love bug decals from Excelsior. Dad just might have to build one on the side with an old school paint job like when he was a kid. It is all just for the kids you know!

Stick to A-B motors unless you have a decent field and eyes. This thing rocks on a C6.

Also, be careful with the motor mount -- it can be very tight and getting the spent motor out can be a pain in the butt.

That rocket is one of the best fliers I have in my fleet. It is a great launch on a B. I will agree that on a C it is hard to track at apogee. But every flight is a good one with this bird.
I will agree that the body tubes are a little weak. Ours crushed a little too easy. Of course my son likes to "fly" it around the house....

Neat little rocket. I have never had one my self, but I see kids show up to our launches with them.
One time, A group of Scouts (or some similar organization) showed up with these, and apparently they could not find A8-3s so they started using a8-5s...
Do not use A8-5, it would not pop the chute until it was about 5-10 feet off the ground
