    Thankyou Bret !

Looks like it will be sometime in later spring before it flies ,so it`s a long wait.

    You know what.

When I inserted the MMT and did the internal fillets then epoxied the aft centering ring ,I did not make note of the block location

I had to go to my build pics to find where it was located.

    I found it !

How embarrasing is that on a public forum ?

Here is the second batch of pics of the finished PP.Took these in my bedroom for some natural lighting this morning.

Kinda gives you an idea of the length and size of the rocket.

It was a fun build but now on to the next one ,it`s brother the Photon Disruptor.

*** A big thankyou to James (Judo)*****

    Salut

Well I suppose pictures would help eh

On our first HP event on June 23/12 I loaded up a CTI I 242 "White" for it`s maiden flight ,on the pad 5...4...3...2...1 up and away ,beautiful straight boost ,picture perfect ,then poof....ejection but the chute never made it out

Me and my buddy found it after awhile in the wheat field and was very surprised it was not as damaged as i would have thought. The BT had a big plug of mud in it when it core sampled ,so the whole tube got compressed. The nosecone and payload section was just dirty ,but fine otherwise.

I got very ,very lucky ,as I can rebuild it !

I think the ejection charge was just not enough to push out the laundry ,and I must admit ,my Nomex chute protector was way too big !

But as I said ,it stop compression 5 inches from the forward centering ring ,so I was able to cut off the old BT section ,epoxy in a new 8" long BlueTube coupler and then will add a new piece of Loc BT which I had.

Our good friend Mark from Stickershock23 sent me new decals for half price ,which I recieved today. THANKS MARK

As of last weekend ,everything is painted and decals go on tonight ,so the Probe lives to fly again.

I gotta say ,when I build fins.....they stay on ,because if they would have broken ,then the rocket would have been sent to the trash ,so I did get very lucky !

Next flight ,I`m going to add a bit of FFFFg BP to the charge.

    Cheers

I need to clear my work bench and cut some fins this weekend. Dang.
As far as "The Probe" goes, we must pack more carefully.

That is one hot looking Photon Probe my friend. Too bad about the first launch. Same thing happened to my Thor clone that I am finally (after two years) getting around to rebuilding.
