So my fin unit is in primer and the epoxy is curing on my main body tube. I'm about to get into some serious lumber work. How is yours coming along?
I'm curious about filling the balsa grains. I filled the fins with some way-too-thin CWF and had a tough time seperating them from the sheets. I am considering using my spot putty. Any reason not to?
I am usually obsessive about eliminating any trace of balsa grain... but... heck... this is a model of a structure that is made out of wood. I used one coat of Aero Gloss Sanding Sealer (my favorite grain filler) and left in a fair amount of grain.
