The jinx is out as the field has been hayed. Fliskits is ordering the CAKE and Bill will make sure the weather is great.

I'll have some small stuff to fly but we should have a great turnout with all the pent up flying desires from two scrubbed launches.

    See you there.

I need to work on my weather control skills. Last Sunday I left nice weather here to be greeted by rains from an almost tropical storm in Florida. On Friday I left gorgeous weather in Florida only to arrive in Boston in rain. We should be safe as long as a don't fly to Amesbury.

I plan on bringing my usual LOC Graduator and my Wildchild. Got to bring plenty of Flis birds to fly to try for most flights with Flis Kits models. I have resurrected my Trifecta to fly again and of course I plan on bringing my appetite!

Will anyone be there selling Aerotech reloads? I already asked Rick and he said he wasn't. If so, I will fly my new "Two Ton" on a G64-4.

I'll be there with Estes kits, Quest motors and Blue-Tube airframes.

Also I might have a Blue Tube prototype to fly, 29mm cluster. I hope to have a 38mm version ready for next weekend.

I'll be flying my Formula 54 on a smaller Vmax, my scratch built POS on a Aerotech H? and the prototype on 2 CTI H163 white thunder.

A Trifecta drag race would be great! Imagine there will also be Frick-n-Frack drag races as well. I love the sight of all those stages in the air all at once.

    I'll be there...

    ...with CAKE!

Will also have my Rainbow UFFO launch spectacular to help celebrate our ninth anniversary!

Also have a new Journeyman built to fly (not painted yet... we'll see...) and a few new proto types of things to come (so keep watch!)

We will also be having some fun and giveaways...!

Not all prizes have been finalized, but events will include (but not limited to):
    • Most FlisKits models flown for the day (there will be a sign up sheet at the RSO table)
    • Youngest flier! Free dooDad kit (youngster must prep and get the rocket to the pad and hooked up himself to qualify. stop by booth for details)
    • raffle: 1 raffle ticket for every $10 purchased throughout the day. Drawing at 3pm for a free Journeyman kit
    • Cake.

    Don't miss it!

Nothing for oldest flyer? Never mind. I can't win that one either and not because I can't prep and hook up the rocket myself.

New for the anniversary celebration! Check it out!

A close friend of mine, Becky Cross, authored a book a few years ago called "I am a space shuttle. I LOVE TO FLY!". It is a children's book about the task of refurbishing the space shuttle and takes the reader from the end of one flight to the beginning of the next. Rather remarkable in that most books and articles about the space shuttle (or any other vehicle) is from the beginning of its flight to the end of its flight.

While written with children in mind, this is also a fantastic book from photo's alone and gives the reader a new appreciation of what it took to keep the shuttle fleet operational.

Retailing at $18.95, FlisKits will GIVE AWAY one free book for every purchase of $20 or more at our booth during our anniversary launch!

We WILL be hard nosed about it too. Purchases of less than $20 will not earn you a book. If your initial purchase is less than $20 then please find an additional item to purchase We're not just giving away twenty dollar books for the heck of it...

If you wish to purchase one, or additional copies (they make GREAT holiday gifts), we will be selling them at $13.95 each during the anniversary launch only.

Shortly after the launch this book will appear on our web site below retail (no pricing set yet) with additional discounts for educators, schools and libraries.

The book is hard bound with a dust jacket

Below are some pictures of the book. Feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them.

    Pictures shown include:
    • Front cover
    • Back cover
    • random inside page
    • close up of page showing the removal of main engines
    • close up of the text on that page showing the style of writing (prose) throughout the book.

    Enjoy!

Oh shoot! I should have put that on there. I brought it to my Boyscout meeting tonight and some people showed interest, but if I had mentioned cake there probably would have been more people going!

    1) Are there 1515 (Extreme) rails available?
    2) Are there 3/8" rods available?

It's actually a little higher than 3000 feet but it's really important that nothing land outside the field and that's the practical safe altitude considering the usual breeze.

K is the absolute limit and even that requires a little planning to keep everyone back 200 feet.

    Hi Al,

I'll save Bill a response; yes, our HP pad can take a Ø1/2" rod if it extends at least 5 or 6 inches below the rail.

    I'll see you Saturday.
