    Okay, who is going??!!

I am going to try for my 10k altitude/Mach 1 goal with my scratch built 38 min diameter rocket. And, some rip-roaring flights on my new Wildman Darkstar, and potentially my first L flight with my Thor. In the night launch, my NiteCaliber will go up both nights on H to J high power. How about you all?

    TRA & Oktoberfest??

Hi Guys, TRA & Oktoberfest sounds pretty familiar to me :-)

Obviously I am a new member of our great rocketeer family and I am located in MUNICH / Germany.. proudly Level 2 at the moment and still progressing my L3 project..

Just wanted to say hello for the first time, obviously this post on Oktoberfest was a good opportunity... we claim it here, successfully so far..PROSIT!

I have uploaded some typical Bavarian "Gemütlichkeit" pictures of our regular monthly rocketeer meetings, at the bar. Consider this as a typical hybrid propellant: dark beer and/or white beer. ;-)

Have good and safe flying days in Vegas,

    best regards from Bavaria

    Denis

PS: we do have our last rocket meeting next Saturday, 100kms east of Munich. If someone's is interested, I am happy to post some pics after the event... of course nothing as spectucular as you guys usually run, but still HPR (typically G to J flights)

Now that is the way to hold a rocketeer meeting: Sitting at your own Stammtisch in the local Bier Stube sampling the beer.

This weekend was the best rocketry weather I've ever seen--bar none. 80-something degrees, little to no wind, high flights the norm, not a cloud in the sky, just simply amazing. You couldn't have asked for a better location, weather, or company. The launch went off without a single hitch--Tripoli Vegas rocked this launch.

My daughter and I flew one K805G, an Aerotech J500G, Pro38 J330 Classic, an Pro38 I223 Skid (night flyer--awesome!), a KBA I550R, an AT H210R, AT H170M (night flyer--stunning), a Pro29 H410 Vmax (i.e. canon shot), three AT G's, three AT F's, and a whole slew of Estes E thru B motors. Broke a mile high four times, kissed the sound barrier, and flew my Wildman Darkstar three times--all a mile high or more. Jon E. flew his LOC HyperLOC 1600 on an "L", and made the most awesome two-stage attempt this morning with his Wildman rocket. Our club President Curt flew his fantastic "Pumpkin Head" on a Loki K669 Spitfire each day with a full size pumpkin on top. There were many more memorable flights, that just naming a few.

HUGE thanks to Giant Leap Rocketry for on-site vendor support and multiple, cool raffle prizes, Stickershock23 for several raffle prize gifts, and Rocketry Warehouse for a raffle prize Lil'Rascal kit! If you weren't there, you missed it! Springfest is just around the corner, next March...

    prost!

Hope Guys you had enough appropriate bavarian beer to cool down at your Tripoli Oktoberfest Launch and a nice bavarian flag, if not... I would suggest we think about something like a partnership between Tripoli Vegas and Tripoli Munich (still to be created but that's could be done fast)..

That sounds like a deal to me! Sounds like a perfect partnership to me. Ich bin ein Berliner (isn't that what JFK said incorrectly?), so just substitute Munich for Berlin. I've even got family in Bavaria.

Here's a video that shows a bit of the launch site here (until the great flat spin 'recovery' starts).
