DILLER, Nebraska USA — For the last 34 years, Diller-Odell science teacher Steve Wester has been teaching eighth graders rocket science. Now, in his 35th and last year, Wester and the Diller-Odell eighth grade took a final trek to the field across the street from the high school, their very own version of the Kennedy Space Center, to send their rockets roaring into the wild blue yonder. It's a bittersweet day, Wester said, referring to his last time launching rockets with the kids. I don't think the kids realize it yet.
