Rocket kits from Estes have historically been packed in 12 packs and motors in 24 packs.

Quest has different quantity options.

I thought $49.99 was a bit steep for a 24/pk of 1/2A3-4T motors.

I'll say. Although was talking about class sizes. When I was a kid in a good school district we often had between 25 and 30 to a class. I can't imagine what they have now or in the next few years with the budgets being slashed.

But yea $50 for 24 1/2A motors is steeper than buying them individually in regular 4-packs. Nice of them to stick it to the schools! They have unlimited money right? :confused2:

No problem.

Estes does not undersell their retailers, so it is usually less expensive to purchase motors from a reseller.

Making good motors is not cheap. It costs money to run a safe operation, to perform more than the required 1125 static burns to monitor performance and QC, and carry a large liability insurance policy.

I attached a simple spreadsheet to calculate the potential savings from purchasing in bulk from a discount retailer. Pick you favorite and you might be surprised how much you can save by buying bulk packs.
