    Thread Time Counter

I thought of a new feature I would add to the forum.

I always look under new posts to find some new threads or threads i'v seen that are active. What if I were able to tell how old a thread is. Then I could distinguish between old threads with lots of posts (or threads recently dug up) and brand new threads with little to no posts or views. What I would suggest is in parenthesis next to the thread name have a count from when is started

    For example:

    Forum Games - Word Association (for ALL TRF'rs) (1 2 3 ... Last Page) (894 Days Old)

    Or something like that.

I would find it useful, would anyone else?

I just hit "New Posts" as soon as I get on and after I get finished with each thread. I usually remember right where I left off when I return to one. Whenever I look at a thread that I haven't been in before I always check the dates of the posts. But I rarely go more than 4 or 5 pages deep into the list that comes up when I hit "New Posts" so I don't often hit one that is really old.

BTW, I thought that the "word association" thread was getting pretty stale two years ago! BTDT.

The categories or subforum directory on the TRF home page is a useful organizing tool, I guess, but I don't use it to find threads. I don't pay much attention to categories during my forum visits except when I am posting (to avoid saying something irrelevant to the context); I look at the thread title to see if it's something that I want to jump into at the moment. I guess it means that I'm pretty indiscriminate about what I end up reading here, and if I have anything relevant to say, I'll say it.
