Hi all, newb here, thanks for all the great info.

I recently broke out a decade old Estes Alpha-III starter kit I bought on closeout last winter and now I've been bitten by the rocket bug. Bad.

I need help spotting my rockets and found some good information here on mylar chutes and streamers. I have an Estes Patriot that should be ready for launch by the weekend, and I'd like to not lose it. It seems like it's probably a bit heavy for a streamer only. Is there any way I can attach both a parachute for soft landing and a long streamer for visibility? Or is that going to just end up being a tangled mess?

Wasn't sure if there was a method to do this.

Thanks!

It has been done in the past where a smaller chute is attached via a short teather to the end of a well made "HEAVY" weight tear resistant streamer material like very thin Nylon or 2mil mylar. the streamer really doesn't act like a streamer much, more like an "in the air" marker.

Hope this helps
