I found a Quest Nike Smoke kit in my closet, while looking for threads I found a few with information on double bevel fins. I remembered that I had taken photos of a Nike Ajax years ago on display at a small airport, so I found them on my hard drive.

Here are the fin photos I took of the Nike Ajax on display at the Luftwaffe Museum in Berlin Gatow. Bonus: the last one also has the booster fin of a Nike Hercules.

It is interesting to see how these things are actually constructed, I men how the metal is formed and all of the nuts and bolts that are visible. It is also interesting to see the differences between that one and the one I photographed- more bolt heads visible in my photos. I don't know how long the Nike-Ajax was produced but surely it went through production revisions that changed the outward appearance slightly.

That looks like the Nike next to the highway in Burnett. We just finished driving back-n-forth past that thing on 281 for four years (our daughter just graduated from college in San Antonio).
That particular example is in pretty sad condition. I looked at it up close, and didn't even bother taking pictures. It has been badly corroded (those bolts on the fin leading edge are to try to fix the delamination) and badly painted. I cannot recommend that anyone drive 5 minutes out of their way to see this display. The pictures that Adrian posted will do much better, and there are other sources on the web that have lots more.
If you do stop in that town, make sure you pronounce it BURN-it, not Burn-ETT (like I did).

That's it- Burn-it, TX. It is a small airport and was supposed to have a small museum of some sort. We were driving by and thought we would stop for a look. The museum was closed that day so we got a few photos with the static displays by the parking lot.
