A friend gave me some non-working TV cameras. A lens from one added to the realism, plus added nose weight. I put a cone on a paper tube I rolled, and use it as a display "rocket motor". I later found that the plastic sphere had crazed pretty badly. I don't think it will survive a rough landing so a friend turned a balsa nosecone for use in actual flights.

Wow, very cool! Very innovative and unique. I never cease to be amazed by the original designs I see here. Did you happen to use any CA glue in the construction? The fumes from CA can cause plastic crazing.

I don't think I did. Almost exclusively epoxy.
