Looking back to the Good ole days of rocketry again the early Estes Model K-54 Saros "scale like model is a fairly large Micro downscale in T3 .375" diameter. 9" Long it needed 5 #9 lead shot to get it to fly right.
Ewt: 7.4g LOWt: 8.5g it gets good altitude recovering on a 1/2" x 15" yellow teflon Wadding/Streamer.

Here's my vintage early 1970s Estes Saros model.

It has flown several times in the past.

I think it would make a nice model for Estes to re-issue. ;)

008.jpg009.jpgA few flights after these pictures were taken, it had a hard landing that cracked up the nose, so I need to rebuild the top half of the rocket.

Really nice work there. I've always loved the Saros, and the extra detail really adds to it. Well done!
