First of all - I apologize for no pictures yet. Forgot camera and the phone video was not that great. Going to get a complete picture of the rocket sometime today.

The rocket is a 4" scratch built from PML parts. 72" long with 38mm MMT.
Dual Deploy handled by the Raven2.

Flight was on a J420R to 2441 feet - main eject at 500 ft.

Recovered to within about 300 ft from pad.

Thanks to anyone who answered any questions over the last 2 months.

Ready to spend more money :)

Congrats. Sounds like everything went great and you didn't have a far walk. You will now definitely be able to spend more money.

congrats, now triple your motor budget (and your fun) :bangbang::bangbang:

Congrats :D

(You should try the J825 next)

CJL - I was going to try something in the 38/1080 casing, but the only thing I could get in time was the J420.

That one will be one of the next ones I get.

Such an addicting hobby......

Congrats!!! Yes now you will be spending a lot more money! LOL

Congrats!! A scratch-built L2 is quite the accomplishment, I'm working out the details of my L2 cert project now...also going with scratch idea...post some pics/details when you can!

So, I finally got around to getting some photos of my L2 rocket. This is not my cert flight. This is an AT J825R. Topped out at 3600' with a perfect recovery.
