    PIGASUS! A New Goony

I just finished up my original Goony -
    PIGASUS!

The build story is on my blog at:
    http://modelrocketbuilding.blogspot..../label/Pigasus

I built a Pigasus back in the mid 1970s after making a few of the Estes Goonybirds. That version was smaller, built around a BT-60.

This larger Pigasus flew at the N.E.F.A.R. launch in Bunnell, Florida on March 12.
I was concerned the goggles and swept ears would redirect the airflow and cause it to turn. I called for a heads up.
There was no problems, the flight was stable and true!

My rockets usually fly naked. If they survive, they earn their paint.

hcmbanjo, thats hilarious! Every man on the forum should have one! Now, we could have an excuse for the wifey! "See, they DO fly!...." HA!

Yeah Chad, your 'Pig Bertha' is a hoot! Love the curly tail, with matching smoke-trails! Between that and your 'Baconator', you must really have a thing for pork...

Strap a piece of raw bacon under the motor next time?
