One of my favorites!

One the left a 13mm size, in the middle a standard 18mm size, on the left a 24mm BT-56 upscale.

In front...a Goony.:D

The second pic is my BT-80 29mm version.

One ofmy favorites as well. When I was nine I built my first one, well first three actually. I lost each on their very first flight. That is what I get for launching on a C6-7 near a corn field.:D

Love the goony.

I have love the sprint since I lost my first one in the 80's

here is my son Steven with his 2.6" the nose was done in Gold Mylar

The Astron Sprint is a great looking rocket, one of my favorites for sure.

Mine didn't get lost on the first flight, but close. It was the third flight on a C6-7 at the huge VOA field. The first picture was taken on a vacation day. Too grey to fly, but I'd just gotten the digital camera and wanted to do SOMETHING.

A couple of guys I knew in Connecticut Tripoli 15 years ago built various upscales; everything from a 1.6" version to a 7.7" version they flew on an M1419 at an LDRS.

As a tribute to the late great Estes model rocket designer, Mike Dorffler, this rocket is for him. He designed the Astron Sprint back in the day and as a way to honor his memory, we have introduced an "XL" version of one of his great creations!

A sleek design and pretty straight forward building. Sure to be a collector's item! (Estes 2013 Web Ad)

Here's my thirty-plus-year-old Estes Sprint. This was built in one of my last years in 4-H, so it was built sometime between 1979 and 1982. Also pictured is my 13mm Dash (a dash is a short sprint, so...)

Is the Dash your creation or was it an offering of a company?

I did Dash entirely myself; scaled down the shroud and fin template from JimZ, got the parts from Semroc, did the decal on my computer.

I thought it likely but wanted to make sure.

233 % Estes Sprint, 32.2" long [built for 38 mm motors]. Built 20 years ago during a flurry of MR building by yours truly. It has yet to be flown though . . .

Upscaled Sprint - cropped.jpg

I like Sprints so much I built another one. The color is "Pacific Blue" from Testors.

UPDATE: Excellent first flight 9/1/14 on an A8-3.
