On Saturday I showed up a little later than intended before the night launch so the sun was already set, but I did manage to get my kite up before the light totally disappeared. It was a little too dark for any of my photos to turn out well, but they still are interesting.

The camera hangs from the kite line about 100' down from the kite. An electric servo slowly rotates the camera, and an LED simulates the remote, causing it to take a photo every 10 seconds.

I just wasn't able to get shutter speeds fast enough to reduce motion blur. Oh well. Next launch I'll do it earlier in the evening.

In space, no one can hear your shutter click.

    Another great launch video, David.

He did a nice one for Dairy Aire 2011 as well.

David also seems to have an unending supply of rockets to launch, too.

If I could walk faster on recovery I could launch more.... wind cut some days short. We only launched half the fleet but it was a great event... the dinner was the best.
