Anyone else have pics of their Mad Dog? My Dad got me one for XMas that he picked up when we were at LDRS 31. It is 4" DD in cherry G12 colored tubing w/ a black NC. I'm going to use a AeroPack tailcone retainer on it.

I built my 4" Mad Dog (DD) in early '06. It was one of the first kits Curtis produced. I used BASF automotive paint/ with 2-part clear, and to-date, one of the best finishes I've done....

To the garys: I'm not sure if this was a special order that a customer didn't pick up, or if RW is making mad dogs like they make their Formula XX. I can ask my dad if they said anything when he bought it. It's funny, my Dad isn't into rockets, he just was looking around for something to get me after I got my L2.

dwatkins – sweet pic, love the colored FG, that is a lot of fire coming out of that rocket :p

Kaycee – really nice work on the paint, and the close up of the fins shows how nicely beveled they come from RW.

Jeff – somewhere I heard that the mad dog was originally designed with a tailcone and yours shows why. I have a black one to match my nose cone.

Time to get building…

Here is my MADDOG I flew at MWP last year. Flew on a K570 to 9100 ft.
Aeropak tail cone retainer was the only add on. Flies great. Weighs in at 15 lbs.
Second pic is my wife soaking up the sun on a beautiful November day before the flight.
