One Bad Pig (The rocket in black)

Here is my latest creation. 4" LOC tubing about 4' tall with a 54mm MMT. Setup for dd and the first flight should be on a I211 or something for my 38/480 case. The name is in honor of a very obscure 80's punk band that had a huge influence on my young self. One of my favorite songs featured Johnny Cash (yes, THAT Johnny Cash) a.k.a. the man in black. I tried to come up with an appropriate paint theme but nothing seemed to work other than the satin black.

Or maybe I might fly it on a Kosdon I or small J reload and dedicate the flight to some very "special" people.

The decals from Stickershock really set it off. They are just barely small enough which is what I wanted. Big, in your face, obnoxious letters is what I was after just like the band's music.

Cool design! Are you going to be flying that on a sparky? To me it looks like a good design for one. Actually (since I'm a sparky addict) any design is a good one for a sparky.

I can't think of a single design that doesn't look good with a sparky.

I don't think there is a hybrid that would fit.

    This pig flew

I love going to launches with a goofy rocket like this and see peoples reaction. So many times folks would look at it and go, "Uhh, what is it's name? One Bad Pig? Huh, interesting."

I seem to remember you standing next to a large black rocket with some coolio "Crayola" decals for a while that afternoon so it's all good. I think preoccupied is an understatement.

Not the first flight for this rocket but the first time with a geo-coin.

Great flight! What do you think the apogee was? I loved being able to see the curvature of the earth, always my favorite part <3

    Thanks for the compliment!

I don't think that's the curvature of the Earth you see there. If it were pointing to the west in the direction of Lake Michigan about 8 miles away and the flight was about 3k higher it's certainly plausible the curvature might be seen but this looks like it was pointing due south at apogee. I think that is more likely an artifact of the wide angle nature of the camera itself. Appogee on that flight was a shade under 2k. Something like 1900 and some change.
