How old is this AT J100?

Found this in a box of Jim Rossen's stuff:

Not the best pic, but the paperwork says it has a peak thrust of 43.75 lbs. and burns for 10.8 seconds.

I have one just like it. Date code on sticker over ejection charge says 1988 on mine. I've had it since 1990.
 
My guess is late 80's, perhaps really early 90's. I recall reading about them and the J125W (which I believe were in aluminum cases) in early issues of HPR.
 
I would venture no later than 90 or so. Good news is it is pre white lightning so grain swelling should not be an issue

Ok, I went back and looked on the ejection charge, mine has the same date. I think I will friction fit it into my Blackhawk 54, it's only 3.8 lbs. Never used a thermalite igniter before....
