photo questions

How come every single time I upload any photos they upload sideways. When you click in manage attachments there us no option to rotate them. This is a total PITA!!!!! Someone needs to fix it!!!

Well, yeah it is. But you can rotate the photo using a photo editor so it looks right on your device , then do a print screen and copy that print screen into a program like paint, then save the file. Sure that's a PITA too, but the paint file will look correct once loaded.

Phone taken photos have orientation in the EXIF data.

Website apps don't always read this data...

My solution is to open on the computer, save again (which hard codes the orientation) then upload..

- or upload direct from your phone using the TRF app, which I have found does the same thing, in my iPhone experience anyway...

You can also upload images to flickr.com, rotate them as needed (if needed), and then use their link to add them here.

When the forum has some problem with uploading images, I never have been prevented from adding my images since they come in from a link instead of being hosted here.

Why does this forum always have image issues?

Actually I have always had this problem.

I try to remember before I post images to edit and save them in an upright orientation for posting. That fixes it. Yes, still a PITB.

Because forum is run by clowns. Where I live we have issues with clowns. Clown infestation. Called city they won't do anything about.l it.

Every Windows PC has MSPaint. Open the pictures in MSPaint and you can resize, rotate and crop. Then upload to TRF.
